Will coordinate the activities of the PET-MR with the Director of the Advanced Imaging Facility. Interacts with the cyclotron and radio pharmacy staff and assist with all basic science and clinical researchers. Manage the computer process and imaging software in a complex facility with network complexities. The PET-MR Imaging Coordinator is responsible for carrying out goals, objectives, plans, and policies for the facility, The Kirklin Clinic and University of Alabama Health Services Foundation, P.C. and ensuring they are delivered within established quality and financial standards. Assists the Radiology Director with adequate record keeping in Personnel and Financial management. Able to learn and maintain a thorough working knowledge of all established UAHSF policies and procedures. Promotes open and informative communication within area of responsibility. Serves as the PET-MR Imaging Coordinator and coordinates non-routine study activities for the Department of Radiology. The PET-MR Imaging Coordinator oversees MRI and PET protocols, equipment, software, and staff education. Work with MRI managers, directors and physicians to improve the efficiency of all MRI activities throughout the health system. Review all new protocols and identify the non-routine services. Coordinate all of the non-routine studies activities within the applicable modality sites and work with the assigned radiologists to complete study activities per the protocol guidelines. All image transfers for studies are supervised or completed by this individual. Position Requirements EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Required: Bachelor’s degree with advanced certification in CNMT (or ARRT) with additional certification in MRI and at least three years of management/supervisory experience in a nuclear medicine facility. A minimum of five years’ experience in MRI experience required. Preferred: Experience with quality initiatives and training staff. LICENSE, CERTIFICATION AND/OR REGISTRATION: Required: ARRT post-primary certification in MRI with current registry status.
